When I was just starting out, there was one program that has taught me a lot about not only PPC, but Internet marketing over all. I’m talking about Commission Blueprint. This product was mainly about PPC but there were other aspects too, and the whole experience gave me a lot of practice.

I’ve learned a lot about keyword research more than anything. And that is very important whatever you do, PPC or SEO. I then realized that SEO is not that hard or time consuming if you do the research right. In fact, you can rank and be getting traffic in a matter of hours. That’s when I really picked up the search engine optimization and getting free traffic.

That has given me an edge and have no spend, it’s a lot easier to make money, even if the keywords aren’t the best converting ones. And scaling business doesn’t mean spending more, it simply means adding more keywords. Powerful stuff.

There’s a very popular keyword research tool made by Brad Callen, it’s called Keyword Elite. It’s been around for a while and now has the 2nd version. It does what it does well – it helps you find the keywords to promote your website in SEO or PPC. That’s a very important part in my business, even though the greater part of my keywords come not from any tools but market itself.

Nonetheless, Keyword Elite is a good tool and I though I’d bring it up. If there’s any tool that’s better than Google’s Keyword tool, this is it.

Ideas for IM Eye Keyword Tool

As the new keyword tool IM Eye is about to be released, let’s brainstorm some idea of how to use it best. The tool is unique so ideas can also be unique – it’s not just about old and boring keyword research as we know it.

The first idea I’d want to try is finding some golden niches. IM Eye can give you all good keywords by traffic and competition you specify. So you can get keywords with maximal traffic an minimal competition. That means some underused opportunities. On various marketing forums people sniff around for ideas, they lurk around hoping someone would accidentally spill the beans about their niches. This tool eliminated the need to stalk, it gives you all the opportunities right off the bat.

But let me carry the idea further. Why not find keywords that have most traffic, but reasonable competition. By reasonable I mean the competition that is possible to beat for you. Obviously it will be different for every person. But this is more of an ambitious project. Imagine if you can beat a major keyword out there and you would know how much it would take to beat it right from the start. Again, IM Eye will make it easy by putting things into perspective and giving you all the keywords on one page for comparison.

Now, there are also some other factors, like ecommerce presence, video marketing opportunities, article marketing opportunities and so on. So the ideas are endless, I could sit here all day brainstorming them.
